The Book

The Heist – how the rich and corporations stole the American dream and how we can take it back explains changes in capitalism in the past fifty years that have produced today’s enormous income and wealth inequalities and intensified the insecurities that mark life for most people. The focus is on the United States, though the phenomena here are global in nature.

The capitalism here is not the economy of Econ 101 or any of the other orthodox views of how the economy works. This is the capitalism so carefully formed by the rich and corporations for their benefit.
